Here’s a look at the most liked posts ever made on the popular subReddit r/Trees.
With tens of millions of active users, Reddit has quickly become an internet powerhouse. Among the sea of thousands of various subReddits, one has become the clear voice of the marijuana community: r/Trees.
With over 1.17 million subscribers, r/Trees is the most popular marijuana subReddit, as well as the most active.
With this in mind, below is a list of the most liked posts ever made on r/Trees, based on their current upvote count:

With over 3,700 comments, this hilarious thread tops the charts with nearly 65,000 overall upvotes. The initial post reads:
Guys my naive mother used my CANNABUTTER to make dinner with. Apparently we were out of real butter and she used mine because she though it was “vegan butter”. My entire family just eat chicken made with high quality cannabutter. I have around 45 mins before it kicks in.WHAT DO I DO GUYS?
The OP (original poster) then goes on to make 13 different edits, continuing to update readers on the situation.

This post, the second most upvoted of all time on r/Trees, is a clear demonstration the subreddit isn’t just used for entertainment, as it’s also used for advocacy.
Here is the post’s title, which is admittedly quite long:
Do you love watching netflix and youtube or gaming or browsing dank memes while high as a kite? All these things are in danger if we lose net neutrality! Please put the bong down for just long enough to help out, then you can have a well deserved toke!

There’s nothing like a easy-to-understand, easy-to-love prompt to bring in the upvotes. Titled “<——- Number of BOWLS smoked on 4/20/17. Only upvote if you smoked a BOWL today.”, the OP must have known he’d be swimming in karma as soon as he pressed “submit” (I’m sure this was bolstered by the fact that it was made after the #5 on this list).
#4: “The Catholic Church has donated $850,000 in a last minute effort to defeat marijuana legalization in Massachusetts. If the Catholic Church wants to use their tithing funds for political purposes, they shouldn’t have tax exempt status. “
Number of upvotes: 62.2k
Post date: October 29, 2017
This widely discussed post (surpassing 2,200 comments) links to a Boston Globe article detailing how the Catholic Church donated nearly a million dollars to fight Massachusetts marijuana legalization initiative, which was passed into law the following month.
The article calls on the church to have their tax exempt status revoked if they’re going to donate to political causes, which is undoubtedly what made the r/Trees community so quick to give this post an upvote.

Titled “<——- Number of Joints smoked on 4/20/17. Only upvote if you smoked a Joint today.”, this post was made several hours before, and by a different user than the #3 post on this list.
Despite being posted earlier, it received around 6,000 less overall upvotes than that post, giving it a clear – if unscientific – answer to what r/Trees users prefer the most; bongs or joints.

Despite linking to just a Google search of “election results”, this timely post was made almost immediately after many major news outlet began calling a victory for Florida’s medical marijuana initiative. Unsurprisingly r/Trees absolutely loved this news, and as a result members threw karma at this post in rapid fashion.

The first on this list to be posted in 2018, this call-to-action links to a site for online voter registration. The post’s title is:
ATTN: PUT DOWN THE BONG AND LISTEN. Sessions has officially announced his crack down on legal pot. You were lied to. They don’t give a fuck about states’ rights. The ONLY way to stop this is to vote his goddamned party out in Nov. Register to vote online. It takes mere minutes. Here’s the link.

This post, made a day after the previous post, is the only self-post to make this entire list. It’s titled:
Dear Trump and Jeff: First, fuck you. Second, here is how CO is spending it’s MJ tax revenue: $40 million in school renovations, $6.7 million went to treatment programs, $8 million to combat HS drop outs and bullying. This is what they are waging war against. Never let ANYONE forget.
#9: “Wisconsin legislator to propose banning marijuana tests for most jobs. “Consuming THC … should not disqualify someone from finding employment any more than someone who drank a few beers on another date should be kept out of work,” Bowen says”
Number of upvotes: 50.4k

It’s easy to see why members of r/Trees liked this post so much; we all hate drug tests. This post links to an article detailing a legislative effort in Wisconsin to ban marijuana drug tests as part of hiring process.

This may be the oldest post on this list, but it’s also the funniest. Titled simply “Me when I smell weed in public”, the post is a 7-second GIF of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson during his wrestling days making a face that pairs hilariously with the title (you can see the GIF below)
