On Friday, continuing into Saturday, “Trump is dead” became a top trending phrase on X, along with “HE’S DEAD” and “JD VANCE”, where speculation about the president’s health has exploded into a viral frenzy.

The rumors follow several days without a public appearance from Trump and no events scheduled for the weekend, sparking questions online about his status. Although the rumors are being circulated most prominently on X, thousands of posts have begun popping up on other sites like Reddit and Facebook.
Adding to the speculation, some users pointed to recent comments from Vice President JD Vance, who said he is prepared to step in if a “terrible tragedy” were to occur. While intended as a standard remark about readiness, many took it as a sign of something more.
Attention has also focused on photos showing a large bruise on Trump’s hand, which some compared to the marks seen on Queen Elizabeth II shortly before her death. White House officials have not commented on the cause of the bruise, and the president’s absence from the public eye has only fueled further speculation.
Despite the trending hashtags and tens of thousands of posts declaring Trump dead or missing, there has been no credible confirmation of such claims. For now, the situation underscores how quickly online rumors can escalate in the absence of clear public communication, especially when tied to the health of a sitting president.
