Verano Holdings Corp. has announced that on September 19 it will open its 82nd MÜV dispensary in Florida and 158th nationwide.
The new dispensary, located at 941 NE US Hwy 19 in Crystal River, opens at 9 a.m. on September 19. The store sits on a busy corridor with nearly 23,000 vehicles passing daily and is surrounded by local attractions such as the Kings Bay Riverwalk, restaurants, hotels, and wildlife areas. Hours of operation will be Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Citrus County, home to more than 150,000 residents, has until now lacked a MÜV dispensary, making Crystal River the first of its kind in the county. The location also strengthens Verano’s retail network in western Florida, complementing existing stores in Ocala, Spring Hill, and Port Richey.
“We are excited to welcome patients at MÜV Crystal River, our first dispensary in Citrus County, and offer our expansive suite of award-winning products in a friendly, hospitality-driven dispensary environment,” said John Tipton, Verano’s president of the Southern Region.
Verano has recently expanded its Florida offerings with new product lines, including Savvy 10-pack barrel-style pre-rolls and Avexia’s award-winning topicals such as pain relief balm, lotion, and bath soak. These join a wide menu of products available at MÜV dispensaries, from Verano Reserve and MÜV flower to Encore edibles and On the Rocks concentrates. Patients can browse inventory online, place orders for express pickup, or take advantage of in-store and virtual consultations.
With active operations spanning 13 states, Verano manages 15 cultivation and processing facilities totaling more than 1.1 million square feet. The company says the addition of MÜV Crystal River underscores its long-term commitment to Florida’s medical cannabis community and its broader national growth strategy.
