MoreBetter, the organization behind the world’s first real-world study on THC-infused beverages, is still recruiting participants for its second round—offering free products to those who qualify.
The study, launched in April, is examining how cannabis-infused drinks impact alcohol consumption, mood, sleep, pain, and overall quality of life. Over 2,500 people have already taken part or are currently enrolled in the first cohort, and the second phase is now open for summer registration.
Participants in the study will receive a free two-week supply of THC-infused beverages provided by sponsoring brands. In addition to popular canned seltzers and sodas, the study also includes powdered mixes, tincture droppers, 750ml mixers, and 2 oz “shots,” allowing researchers to evaluate how different formats affect user experience.
To join, individuals must complete a short screening process at mystudi.es/bevstudy, which takes just a couple of minutes. All personal information is kept anonymous and confidential.
MoreBetter CEO Kevin Provost says the goal is to gather real-world data to help shape policy and better understand the role of hemp-derived alternatives in reducing alcohol use. As the popularity of infused beverages grows, regulators are under increasing pressure to set clear rules—and brands are eager to prove their value with data.
With thousands already enrolled and the second cohort now underway, MoreBetter and its partners say there’s still time to get involved and help drive the future of functional, cannabis-infused beverages—while enjoying free THC drinks along the way.
