Michigan Marijuana Sales Reach $255 Million in March, All-Time Total Tops $15.7 Billion, Industry Supports 40.7k Jobs

Michigan’s marijuana market generated $255,478,220.79 in combined medical and adult-use sales in March, according to a new monthly report from the state’s Cannabis Regulatory Agency. That total included $255,064,160.51 from the adult-use market and $414,060.28 from medical marijuana sales.

Compared to the $276,946,009 sold in March 2025, overall sales were down by about 7.8%. However, at least some of that is likely attributed to a roughly 5% drop in prices. The average retail flower price in the adult-use market was $61.67 per ounce in March, down from the $65.14 average in March 2025.

The report shows Michigan had 831 active adult-use retailer licenses as of March 31, along with 93 active medical provisioning center licenses. That puts the state at 924 licensed storefront dispensaries between the two systems, not including other license types such as processors, growers, transporters and consumption establishments.

Michigan’s all-time regulated marijuana sales have now reached $15,741,394,555.73, according to the report. That includes $14,112,262,773.24 in adult-use sales and $1,629,131,782.49 in medical marijuana sales through March 31.

The adult-use market also continued to dominate in product volume. Flower remained the top-selling category, generating $108.6 million in March, followed by vape cartridges at $49.2 million, inhalable concentrates at nearly $41 million, and infused edibles at $21.2 million. In the medical market, vape cartridges brought in the most revenue at $141,793.82, followed closely by flower at $131,305.59.

The report also found that 326 adult-use retailers and 48 medical provisioning centers were approved for home delivery, while the combined marijuana workforce under the MMFLA and MRTMA stood at 40,720 employees as of March 31.
