Florida medical marijuana sales continued their steady climb in mid-May, with dispensaries selling another 424.9 million milligrams of THC during the latest reporting period.

According to the newest weekly update from the Office of Medical Marijuana Use, covering May 8 through May 14, patients purchased 424,888,297 milligrams of THC and 147,162.633 ounces of smokable marijuana during the week.

When added to previous 2026 totals, dispensaries have now sold 8,230,080,706 milligrams of THC and 2,783,321.337 ounces of smokable marijuana so far this year.

The report also shows Florida’s medical marijuana patient count rising. The state had 926,787 active qualified patients as of May 15, up from 925,662 in the prior weekly update.

Trulieve once again led the state in sales, dispensing 112,583,151 milligrams of THC and 51,601.865 ounces of smokable marijuana during the week across 169 locations. MÜV followed with 52,033,495 milligrams of THC and 16,757.159 ounces, while Curaleaf reported 47,487,309 milligrams of THC and 15,762.025 ounces across 73 locations.

Other top sellers included Ayr Cannabis Dispensary, which reported 36,316,291 milligrams of THC and 8,726.021 ounces, and Surterra Wellness, which sold 33,754,262 milligrams of THC and 7,993.358 ounces.

The report lists 763 approved dispensing locations statewide, an increase of one from the previous week. The newly approved location was Mint Cannabis in Riverview.

Florida voters approved medical marijuana in 2016 through Amendment 2. The program operates under a vertically integrated system, with licensed businesses allowed to cultivate, process and sell marijuana products. Patients are typically limited to 2.5 ounces of smokable marijuana every 35 days unless a physician approves an exemption, and the state does not impose a statewide excise tax on medical marijuana.
