Michigan Marijuana Sales Top $258 Million in April, Pushing 2026 Total to Around $1 Billion and All-Time Total to $16 Billion

Michigan’s legal cannabis industry generated $258.6 million in April sales, bringing the state’s 2026 total to around $1 billion and the all-time total to around $16 billion.

The total includes $258.2 million in adult-use marijuana sales and $390,727 in medical marijuana sales, according to the Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency’s April monthly report. Adult-use sales now stand at $14.37 billion since the market launched, while medical marijuana facility sales have reached $1.63 billion.

Flower remained the top-selling product category in April, with $108.3 million in adult-use sales. Vape cartridges followed with $48.8 million, while inhalable compound concentrates totaled $43.2 million. Infused edibles accounted for $21.6 million, shake and trim brought in $19.1 million, and concentrates added $14.9 million.

The average retail price of adult-use flower was $59.05 per ounce, or about $2.08 per gram. Medical flower averaged $81.32 per ounce.

Michigan also reported $3.6 million in adult-use delivery sales in April, while medical delivery sales totaled $12,677. As of April 30, 326 adult-use retailers were approved for home delivery, along with 45 medical marijuana provisioning centers.

The report lists 2,175 active adult-use licenses statewide, including 837 retailers (up six from March), 818 Class C growers, 279 processors and 67 excess growers. Michigan also had 1,848 active medical marijuana facility licenses, led by 1,619 Class C grower licenses.

The state’s licensed marijuana industry employed 40,759 people as of April 30.

The Cannabis Regulatory Agency also reported 297 active social equity licenses held by 190 license holders. Of those, 164 involved participants with marijuana-related convictions.
