Connecticut marijuana retailers sold more than $24.2 million worth of products in April, pushing the state’s 2026 total to nearly $100 million.
According to state data, there was $18,730,623 in adult-use marijuana sold in April, along with $5,515,422 in medical marijuana sales. The combined $24,246,045 total was slightly above the $23.8 million sold in April 2025.
The increase comes even as prices continue to fall. The average price per gram dropped to $7.09 in April, a new all-time low for Connecticut’s legal marijuana market. That is nearly $3 less than the $10.03 average reported in April 2025, a decline of roughly 29%.
Through the first four months of the year, Connecticut marijuana stores have sold nearly $100 million worth of products, putting the market on pace for another strong year despite the continued drop in prices.
Connecticut legalized recreational marijuana in 2021, with the first adult-use stores opening on Jan. 10, 2023. Adults 21 and older may possess up to 1.5 ounces of marijuana in public and up to 5 ounces in a locked container at home or in a vehicle. Adult-use marijuana is subject to the state’s 6.35% sales tax, a 3% municipal tax and an additional THC-based tax that varies by product type.
The latest figures bring Connecticut’s legal marijuana market close to the $100 million mark for 2026, with the state now more than three years into adult-use sales.
