King Charles Using Medical Marijuana, Avoiding Chemotherapy in Ongoing Cancer Fight, Says Report

King Charles is reportedly embracing medical marijuana as part of his cancer treatment, while skipping some chemotherapy sessions despite warnings from doctors and concerns from Queen Camilla.

The monarch was diagnosed with cancer in February 2024, but Buckingham Palace has released few details about the type or stage of the illness. Now, according to a Radar Online report citing unnamed royal insiders, Charles has been forgoing chemotherapy treatments and is instead relying on a more natural regimen that includes vegetables, cannabis, and even the occasional glass of whisky.

During a recent event commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day, the king joked with a 101-year-old veteran that a “nip of whisky” was part of staying healthy. While the comment was delivered with humor, sources say it may reflect Charles’ real-life approach to his illness.

“Charles has been resisting chemo and turning it down at times,” said one source, adding that he’s also been using medically-approved cannabis to help manage anxiety and pain.

The insider claims Charles has even begun cultivating a small cannabis crop for personal use at his Highgrove House estate in Gloucestershire. While the grow is described as modest, it reportedly reflects the king’s long-held interest in holistic wellness and plant-based remedies.

“He does things his way,” said the source. “He believes this is how he can fight the disease while maintaining his quality of life.”

Charles has not commented publicly on the report, and it’s unclear whether he plans to resume chemotherapy.
