Report: Cannabis Beverages Market Valued at $809 Million, Forecasted to Surpass $1.3 Billion by 2030

According to a new report, the cannabis beverages market expanded from $726.63 million in 2024 to $809.42 million in 2025, and is expected to grow in value to $1.3 billion by 2030.

That would represent a compound annual growth rate of nearly 11%, according to the new forecast from the research firm Research and Markets.

The report highlights how cannabis-infused drinks are rapidly moving from niche to mainstream, propelled by regulatory changes, technological advances, and shifting consumer preferences. Once limited largely to dispensaries, cannabis beverages are now appearing in a wide range of formats, from sparkling waters and sodas to teas, coffees, kombuchas, and even alcohol alternatives aimed at the social drinking crowd.

Growth is being fueled by innovation in nanoemulsion and infusion technologies, which are making onset times faster and dosing more reliable. At the same time, brands are increasingly focused on low-dose and wellness-oriented products, such as CBD-dominant drinks marketed as daily functional beverages. Companies are also moving toward sustainable packaging and local sourcing to reduce costs and appeal to environmentally conscious consumers.

The forecast notes that tariffs in the U.S. are pushing more producers toward domestic sourcing and localized production. This shift is expected to increase reliance on e-commerce and direct-to-consumer sales, especially as younger buyers seek convenience and transparency.

Leading companies in the space, according to the report, include Truss Beverage Co., Keef Brands, Canopy Growth, Tilray Brands, Hexo, Aurora, Cronos Group, Curaleaf, Trulieve, and Organigram. Strategic alliances between cultivators, beverage manufacturers, and technology developers are also playing a central role in speeding up product launches and keeping companies competitive.

With consumers showing growing interest in healthier, nonalcoholic options, marijuana beverages are being positioned as both a functional wellness product and a recreational alternative. If projections hold, the market will continue to expand steadily through the end of the decade, signaling a new era where cannabis-infused drinks become a regular part of everyday consumption.
