U.S. Congress: Here’s Every Lawmaker Sponsoring Legislation to End Cannabis Prohibition Nationwide

Here’s a complete list of every member of the United States Congress currently sponsoring legislation to end cannabis prohibition.

The Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement (MORE) Act would end federal prohibition by fully descheduling marijuana, in addition to several other provisions such as allowing expungements of past convictions, while the STATES 2.0 Act would stop short of descheduling but protect state-level legalization. Both measures were filed in the House of Representatives, with no current Senate equivalent filed so far in the 2025-2026 session.
