Maine’s adult-use marijuana market posted steady gains in November even as prices continued their sharp downward slide, with the state hitting a new all-time low for the average price of bud and flower.
According to new data from the Office of Cannabis Policy, retailers reported $19.19 million in November sales, generated across more than 381,000 individual transactions. The average price per gram fell to $6.28, marking the lowest price recorded since Maine’s adult-use system launched. That figure is 16% lower than the $7.52 average seen in November 2024, underscoring the continued maturation and competitive pressure within the market.
Despite the sustained drop in consumer prices, overall purchasing has not slowed. Maine reached $230.6 million in adult-use marijuana sales so far in 2025, surpassing the roughly $220 million sold during the same period last year. The growth places the state on track to set another annual record when December totals are added.
Year-to-date, consumers have made more than 4.53 million transactions, with an average price of $6.65 per gram. The trajectory suggests that lower prices have helped maintain — and even boost — retail activity, offsetting concerns that falling wholesale and retail values might dampen revenue.
With one month remaining in the year, Maine’s adult-use market continues to demonstrate both rising demand and increasingly competitive pricing, reinforcing its position as one of the more resilient and steadily expanding cannabis industries in the region.
