Arts, Beats & Eats Festival in Royal Oak, Michigan to Feature Cannabis Lounge Including Dab Bar and Rolling Station

For the third consecutive year, Arts, Beats & Eats, taking place August 29 to September 1, is welcoming back a cannabis lounge hosted by House of Dank.

Known as DankWay, the lounge will be located on 7th Street between Washington and Center in Royal Oak, giving adults 21 and older a designated space to purchase and consume marijuana during the Labor Day weekend festival.

DankWay debuted in 2023 as the first state-approved cannabis consumption area at a major festival in Michigan. That year it featured a dab bar, a rolling station, and lounge seating, and it has since become a staple of the event. This year, House of Dank is expanding the experience with a larger selection of products, including flower, pre-rolls, concentrates, vapes, and edibles, all available for purchase and immediate use on site.

In addition to DankWay, House of Dank is also bringing back Dankland, a nearby space that focuses on entertainment rather than consumption. Dankland will feature live DJs, interactive art, exclusive merchandise, and games in a visually immersive atmosphere designed to draw in festival-goers who want to experience cannabis culture without actual use.

The return of DankWay and Dankland highlights how cannabis continues to gain a foothold in mainstream community events. Arts, Beats & Eats, which is set to feature over 200 musical acts, fine art displays, and food from dozens of local vendors, now also includes a safe and regulated space where marijuana can be enjoyed alongside music, art, and food. House of Dank owner Marvin Jamo said the goal is to keep raising the bar each year by creating spaces that blend community, creativity, and cannabis culture in bigger and bolder ways.
