Oregon marijuana retailers sold $79,450,772 worth of products in July, according to new data from the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission.

The figure, which is a roughly 4% increase from the total sales for June, pushes the state’s all-time cannabis sales total to $7.72 billion since legal sales began in October 2016. From January through July, Oregon retailers sold nearly $539 million in marijuana products. At the state’s 17% marijuana tax rate, that translates to roughly $92 million in tax revenue for the year so far.
The average price per gram of marijuana dropped to a new record low of $3.33 in July. Concentrate prices declined slightly to $15.84 per gram—just above the all-time low of $15 set in April.
Usable marijuana (dried flower) remains the dominant category, accounting for 52% of sales last month. Concentrates made up 25%, edibles and tinctures 11%, and the remainder fell into other categories such as topicals and beverages.
Oregon legalized recreational marijuana in 2014, with licensed sales beginning the following year. Adults 21 and older can legally possess up to two ounces in public and up to eight ounces at home.
