Virgin Atlantic is breaking new ground in both air travel and cannabis beverage innovation with the announcement of a new partnership that will bring THC-infused soda to the skies.

Beginning this month, select Virgin Atlantic flights between Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, and Miami will offer passengers the option to enjoy Drippy Soda, a cannabis-infused beverage known for its nostalgic flavors, low-dose THC, and reduced sugar content. The airline touts the offering as the “first-ever cannabis-infused soda served in-flight, a milestone in both aviation and beverage history”. The airline says the move redefunses what it means to “kick back and relax” at 30,000 feet.
Each can of Drippy contains fast-acting, low-dose THC that complies with federal regulations, according to the announcement. The product will be served responsibly by trained crew members on participating flights.
“Virgin has always pushed boundaries. This just felt like the next logical step,” said Drippy co-founder Ryan in the release.
The partnership marks a major milestone in the growing intersection of cannabis and mainstream hospitality, offering a sign of how normalization continues to expand into unexpected spaces—including the airline industry.
Virgin Atlantic CEO Shai Weiss closed the announcement by saying, “We’ll keep pushing the envelope, and maybe opening a few more.”
