Maine’s adult-use marijuana market posted another strong month in October, generating $21.3 million in retail sales even as prices continued a steady decline that has pushed the average cost per gram to a new all-time low of $6.47.
According to newly released data from the Office of Cannabis Policy, October’s total includes roughly $11.6 million in usable marijuana, $6.5 million in concentrates, and $3.1 million in infused products. Consumers completed 424,725 transactions during the month, reflecting continued stability in overall demand despite ongoing price compression across product categories.
Through the first ten months of 2025, Maine retailers have reported $212.8 million in adult-use sales. That figure is approximately 5% higher than the same period last year, underscoring how rising transaction volume has more than offset falling prices. Year-to-date transactions total more than 4.17 million, while the average price per gram for the calendar year sits at $6.68.
The combination of record-low prices and rising consumer activity has become a defining trend for Maine’s market in 2025. Retailers have continued to move more product at lower margins, while consumers benefit from some of the most affordable legal marijuana prices in the country.
With the holiday season approaching and demand typically climbing in November and December, Maine appears on pace to surpass last year’s full-year sales total despite pricing pressure that shows no sign of easing.
