Michigan Marijuana Sales Reach $267 Million in October, $2.7 Billion Year-to-Date, as Prices Hit Record Low

Michigan’s marijuana industry reported $267 million in sales in October, bringing the total so far for 2025 to $2.7 billion, according to new data from the Cannabis Regulatory Agency.

Adult-use retailers reported $267,361,787 in October revenue, led by more than 115,000 pounds of flower sold and nearly 431,580 pounds of infused edibles. Vape cartridges accounted for more than $51 million, while inhalable concentrates topped $43 million. Medical marijuana added another $405,709 in sales, bringing combined activity to just under $268 million.

The state’s expanding retail footprint continues to fuel the market. As of October 31, Michigan had 850 licensed adult-use retailers and 107 medical provisioning centers. A total of 353 adult-use retailers are approved for home delivery, a service that generated more than $3.6 million in sales during the month. Across the entire regulated system, 2,201 adult-use business licenses are active, alongside 1,883 under the medical program. Employment remains high, with 41,359 workers participating under Michigan’s marijuana laws.

Consumers benefited from another month of falling prices. The average retail price for an ounce of adult-use flower was $61.91, far below levels seen just a few years ago. Medical flower averaged $83.95 per ounce. Inventory remains deep, with more than 155,000 pounds of tested flower sitting at growers and another 158,000 pounds at retailers.

The state’s production pipeline also stayed active. Adult-use growers harvested 490,374 plants in October, alongside nearly 930,000 harvested under the medical system. Transfers between licensees remained high, with more than 38,000 adult-use transfers completed during the month.

Regional sales data show strong activity across every major part of the state. The East and Southeast region led all areas with more than $103 million in recreational sales, followed by the Southwest region at $87.6 million. Wayne County retailers posted more than $30 million in sales.

Michigan’s marijuana market has now surpassed $12.8 billion in adult-use revenue since legalization took effect. With prices continuing to fall and product selection expanding, the state is on pace to finish 2025 with one of its strongest years yet.
