Massachusetts marijuana sales held strong in November, despite prices reaching record lows, with both adult-use and medical markets combining for $147.4 million in monthly revenue.
The new data also shows year-to-date totals climbing past $1.66 billion as of December 2, marking another solid year for one of the nation’s most established legal markets. This is according to data released today by the Cannabis Control Commission.
Adult-use retailers reported $135.2 million in November sales, continuing a trend of steady monthly demand throughout 2025. Medical marijuana treatment centers added approximately $12.2 million for the month, according to state figures. Together, the two markets reflect a stable consumer base even as competition and production efficiencies drive retail prices downward.
The price of marijuana in Massachusetts reached an all-time low in November, falling to $4.01 per gram, a drop of 12% from November 2024. That milestone underscores just how far the market has shifted since the early years of legalization, when prices regularly exceeded $12 per gram. The continued decline reflects increased cultivation capacity, a broader product supply, and narrowing margins across the industry.
From January through early December, adult-use sales have reached approximately $1.52 billion. Medical sales total $144.1 million over the same period. Combined, Massachusetts has generated about $1.664 billion so far this year across both sectors.
With one month remaining in 2025, Massachusetts is on pace to once again surpass last year’s totals, even amid record-low prices that continue to reshape consumer behavior and the economic landscape of the state’s legal marijuana industry.
