Rockstar Games marked this year’s cannabis-themed holiday with a lighthearted social media post, tweeting, “Happy 4/20! Kick back, relax, and enjoy” alongside a short video clip.
The celebration extended into GTA Online, where Rockstar rolled out a week-long 4/20-themed event packed with in-game rewards and bonuses. Players who log in between April 17 and April 23 can claim free items like the Green 420 Festival Outfit, Gold 420 Pendant, and Yeti Earth Day Hoodie.
A new adversary mode, “Hunting Pack (Get Lamar),” tasks players with either helping Lamar Davis deliver a shipment of marijuana or stopping him. Completing two rounds of this mode earns players a $100,000 bonus and the Black High Brass Tee.
Cannabis-related activities also received boosts: Weed Farm Sell Missions offer triple GTA$ and RP, while Street Dealers provide double payouts. Additionally, Weed Farm production speeds are doubled for the duration of the event.
Discounts are available on various in-game items, including 50% off Weed Farm Businesses and upgrades, and 30% off select vehicles like the Nagasaki Shotaro and Lampadati Tigon.
While many fans appreciated the festivities, some used the occasion to express anticipation for GTA 6. One user commented, “last 4/20 we spend WITHOUT GTA 6,” highlighting the community’s eagerness for the next installment.
The 4/20 event in GTA Online runs through April 23, offering players a chance to partake in themed activities and earn exclusive rewards.
