NuggMD, one of the most widely used medical marijuana telehealth platforms in the U.S., now offers medical cannabis evaluations in every state that legally allows telemedicine for marijuana recommendations.
The move expands access to licensed medical professionals for patients in more than two dozen states, allowing them to receive secure, HIPAA-compliant evaluations seven days a week without leaving home.
NuggMD says the expansion will help eliminate unnecessary barriers to access, particularly for those with chronic pain, anxiety, PTSD, and other qualifying conditions.
“Millions of Americans still face unnecessary barriers to medical cannabis access,” said a spokesperson for NuggMD. “With our national expansion, we’re helping to break down those barriers by delivering fast, safe, and fully compliant telehealth services to qualified patients no matter where they live.”
Since its launch in 2016, NuggMD has facilitated over one million medical marijuana evaluations. Patients are typically seen within 15 to 20 minutes of booking, and those not approved are not charged. Where allowed by state law, digital documentation is delivered instantly after the consultation.
NuggMD’s process includes step-by-step guidance for registering with a state’s medical marijuana program and consultations with fully licensed doctors through secure video calls.
The company says it will continue working with doctors and regulators to maintain high medical standards and ensure patients receive confidential, compliant care.
