Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) is now offering fully online cannabis career training programs through its Office of Workforce and Lifelong Learning (OWLL), providing students nationwide with the opportunity to become certified cannabis professionals in just nine weeks.
Delivered 100% online and available on-demand, the programs are designed to be flexible and accessible, allowing students to study on their own time from anywhere. Participants earn both a certificate of completion and a digital credential through Credly that can be displayed on LinkedIn and other platforms. Graduates also gain exclusive access to the GF Institute Employer Network and job listings on CareersinCannabis.com, helping them stand out to top cannabis companies.

SCSU is offering three separate cannabis certificates: Cannabis Cultivation Specialist, Cannabis Retail Specialist, and Cannabis Extraction & Product Development Specialist. Each nine-week course costs $750 and includes expert-led video instruction, readings, and interactive e-learning modules.
The university says the programs are designed to prepare students for a wide range of cannabis careers—from cultivation and extraction to retail operations and product development.
