Maryland Issues Statewide Recall of Cannabis Chocolate Due to Bacterial Contaminants

The Maryland Cannabis Administration (MCA) has announced a recall of several cannabis products that failed safety compliance testing for total coliforms, a bacterial contaminant.

The recall applies to multiple batches of Hi Color Max Chocolate Milk sold at dispensaries across the state between July and mid-September.

Patients and caregivers who purchased the product are urged to check the labels on their containers for the batch or package numbers listed by the MCA. Anyone in possession of the recalled chocolate milk should return it to the dispensary where it was purchased for proper disposal. The MCA is also asking that consumers report any adverse reactions linked to the product.
