Glass House Brands (GLASF), a California-based marijuana company, has quietly surfaced on the Robinhood trading app, making it one of the only U.S. “plant-touching” cannabis businesses to appear on the platform.
The development is significant because most American marijuana operators are barred from major U.S. exchanges and trade instead on the OTC markets or in Canada. Brokerages like Robinhood have historically restricted access to these tickers, leaving retail investors unable to buy into multi-state operators.
Curaleaf (CURLF) has long been visible on Robinhood’s web version, but it has never been available for trading. Glass House’s appearance marks a new step that could signal changing access for cannabis equities.
Glass House is one of the nation’s larger marijuana operators, running cultivation, retail, and branded product divisions. The company has drawn analyst attention for improving production yields and lowering costs, though it has also faced revenue pressures in recent quarters.
Glass House stock ended the day at a 12-month high on the news.
