The 2025 MJBowl has announced its full slate of first-place MVPs across California and New York, wrapping weeks of judging that highlighted the most impressive flower, pre-rolls, vapes, concentrates and edibles on both coasts.
This year’s list reflects a mix of veteran producers, rising small-batch brands and an especially strong showing from solventless entries.
One of the biggest storylines came out of California’s solventless vape category, where the Natural Gas Papaya Solventless Rosin Bar by RAWsin secured first place. Developed through a collaboration with RAW founder Josh Kesselman, the rosin bar quickly became one of the most talked-about products in the competition. Judges pointed to its terpene expression, smooth delivery and hardware performance, underscoring how fast solventless vape formats are gaining traction in the market.

The standout collaboration between Natural Gas and RAWsin not only delivered one of the most notable victories of the year but also highlighted a broader trend: solventless innovation continues to gain ground in both states. The rosin bar’s finish reflects a field that is getting more competitive as brands refine extraction methods, flavor preservation and hardware consistency.
All MVP winners now advance toward MJBizCon, where the MJBowl Trophy for Best in Category will be awarded live on December 4 in Las Vegas. Until then, the Papaya Rosin Bar and the rest of this year’s MVPs represent some of the strongest work coming out of the American marijuana industry in 2025.
