Florida’s medical marijuana program has grown to 740 authorized dispensing locations statewide, according to a new weekly report released by the Florida Department of Health’s Office of Medical Marijuana Use. The update also shows the state’s patient count continuing to climb, reaching 931,653 registered medical marijuana patients (an increase of around 1,000 from mid-December).
The latest figures further cement Florida’s position as the largest medical marijuana market in the country, both in terms of patient participation and overall sales. Dispensaries are operated by licensed medical marijuana treatment centers, which are vertically integrated businesses allowed to cultivate, process and sell marijuana directly to patients.
Trulieve remains by far the largest operator in the state, with 162 dispensing locations currently authorized. MÜV follows with 82 locations, while Curaleaf Florida now operates 70 dispensaries statewide. Ayr Cannabis Dispensary holds 66 locations, and Surterra Wellness operates 45.
Several other operators also maintain sizable footprints. Green Dragon has expanded to 40 locations, while FLUENT and Planet 13 Florida Cannabis for the Planet each operate 33. Sunnyside follows with 31 locations. GrowHealthy and Sanctuary Cannabis each have 25 dispensing locations, while GTI Florida operates 22. Cookies Florida has 19 locations, and Jungle Boys, Sunburn, and The Flowery each operate 15.
Smaller operators include Mint Cannabis with 14 locations, Goldflower Cannabis with 11, Insa with nine, and One Plant Cannabis with six. Eden Florida operates two dispensing locations, while several licensed entities currently have no active retail locations.
The most recent update also reflects continued expansion in early January, with new dispensaries approved for Curaleaf in Lauderhill and FLUENT in Orlando, pushing the statewide total to 740.
