Colorado health and revenue officials have issued a Health and Safety Advisory and voluntary recall for marijuana flower cultivated by Sweetwater Group LLC, doing business as Sweetwater Cannabis, after testing revealed unsafe levels of total yeast, mold, and Aspergillus in multiple harvest batches.

The advisory, issued February 6 by the Colorado Department of Revenue and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, states that the affected flower exceeded limits established under Colorado Marijuana Rule 4-215 and is considered a threat to public health. The contaminated product was sold between November 16, 2025 and February 3, 2026 at 31 licensed marijuana stores across the state.

Regulators say Sweetwater worked with the Marijuana Enforcement Division to initiate a voluntary recall once the contamination was confirmed.

The affected cultivation license is 403R-01141.

Harvest batches that tested above allowable limits for total yeast and mold include:

  • Bigfoot Glue 10.21.25
  • Guzzlers 10.17.25
  • Gelato 33 10.14.25
  • Hella Jelly 10.10.25
  • Granny Candy 10.7.25
  • Notorious THC 10.6.25
  • Don Mega 10.2.25
  • Slightly Stopped Kush 9.30.25
  • I 95 Runtz 9.29.25
  • Poddy Mouth 9.24.25

Three of those batches also tested positive for Aspergillus contamination:

  • Bigfoot Glue 10.21.25
  • Gelato 33 10.14.25
  • Notorious THC 10.6.25

State officials are advising anyone who purchased these products to either destroy them or return them to the store where they were purchased for proper disposal. Consumers who experience adverse health effects are urged to seek medical attention and file a report with the Marijuana Enforcement Division.

The affected flower was sold at stores operated by Strawberry Fields, Xclusive Cannabis, Magnolia Road Cannabis Company, Green Tree, Green Remedy, Cannabis World, Mile High Dispensary, Sugarleaf Dispensary, The Sacred Blend, The Buzz GJ, and multiple Nuvue Pharma locations across Denver, Pueblo, Trinidad, Colorado Springs, Boulder, Aurora, Federal Heights, Grand Junction, Cortez, Gunnison, Sterling, Log Lane Village, Moffat and Fort Garland, among others.
