Michigan marijuana retailers sold more than $253.1 million worth of products in June, bringing sales during the first half of 2026 to nearly $1.49 billion, according to newly released data from the state’s Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA).

Adult-use marijuana sales reached $252,803,635.56 during June, while medical marijuana sales totaled $298,187.95. Combined sales for the month were $253,101,823.51. June sales were down about $4.9 million, or 1.9%, from the $257,999,656.71 reported in May.

Adult-use flower remained the largest product category in June, generating $104,195,991.84 in sales. Vape cartridges accounted for $48,787,863.34, inhalable compound concentrates brought in $42,667,954.83 and marijuana-infused edibles generated $21,108,345.90.

The average retail price of an ounce of adult-use flower was $58.18 in June, down from $59.73 in May. An ounce of medical marijuana flower averaged $76.91, compared with $74.87 the previous month.

Michigan recorded $1,484,325,365.88 in adult-use marijuana sales during the first six months of 2026. Medical marijuana sales added another $2,214,979.15, bringing the combined first-half total to $1,486,540,345.03.

Monthly combined sales totaled approximately $226.8 million in January, $234.6 million in February, $255.5 million in March, $258.6 million in April, $258 million in May and $253.1 million in June.

Michigan’s regulated marijuana market has now generated $16,511,386,355.69 in all-time sales. That includes $14,881,237,332.40 from the adult-use market and $1,630,149,023.29 from medical marijuana sales.

Michigan voters approved recreational marijuana legalization in November 2018, and the state’s first licensed adult-use stores opened Dec. 1, 2019. Adults 21 and older may possess up to 2.5 ounces in public and store up to 10 ounces at home, with amounts above 2.5 ounces required to be secured. Adults may also grow up to 12 marijuana plants at a residence. Recreational sales are subject to a 10% excise tax in addition to the state’s 6% sales tax.
