Canada’s Legal Marijuana Sales Hit CA$451 Million in October as 2025 Total Tops CA$4.5 Billion

Canada’s legal marijuana industry recorded CA$451.7 million in nationwide sales in October, according to newly released data, marking another solid month for the country’s regulated market.

Ontario once again led all provinces with CA$187 million in marijuana sales during the month. Alberta followed with CA$86 million, while Quebec reported CA$70 million in sales. Those three provinces accounted for a significant share of national activity, with the remaining sales spread across British Columbia and the rest of the country.

While October’s total came in below September’s CA$474.9 million, overall demand remained strong and consistent across major markets, reflecting a mature but still expanding retail landscape. Continued consumer participation and stable storefront networks have helped keep monthly sales well above the CA$400 million mark.

With October now included, year-to-date legal marijuana sales in 2025 have climbed to approximately CA$4.52 billion. The industry remains on pace for another record-setting year, supported by sustained consumer demand and an established national distribution system as Canada moves into the final months of the calendar year.
