Green Thumb Industries has opened its 23rd medical marijuana dispensary in Florida, expanding its RISE retail footprint into Port Charlotte.
RISE Dispensary Port Charlotte opened Monday at 1931 Tamiami Trail, serving registered medical marijuana patients throughout Southwest Florida.
The location is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
The dispensary carries products from several Green Thumb brands, including RYTHM flower, vapes and concentrates, Dogwalkers pre-rolls, Good Green flower, &Shine flower and edibles, and Doctor Solomon’s tinctures and topicals.
“Florida’s medical cannabis program continues to grow, and the need for accessible, high-quality cannabis has never been greater,” said Green Thumb President Anthony Georgiadis. “Opening RISE Dispensary Port Charlotte, our 23rd location in the state, allows us to meet that demand for patients across Southwest Florida.”
A grand opening celebration is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, beginning at 9 a.m. The event will include patient promotions, giveaways and refreshments from a local food truck.
A portion of profits from the grand opening will benefit The Grateful Veteran, a nonprofit that supports veterans and first responders through wellness programs, advocacy and community support.
Green Thumb entered Florida’s medical marijuana market in 2018 and operates cultivation and production facilities in Ocala and Homestead.
In addition to Port Charlotte, the company operates RISE dispensaries in Bonita Springs, Brandon, Clearwater, Crystal River, Deerfield Beach, Dunnellon, Fruitland Park, Hallandale Beach, Jacksonville, Kendall, New Port Richey, Ocala, Orlando, Oviedo, Pinellas Park, Port Orange, Sun City Center, Tallahassee, Tampa, Wesley Chapel and West Palm Beach.
Green Thumb, which trades under the ticker GTBIF on the OTCQX and GTII on the Canadian Securities Exchange, operates more than 120 RISE retail locations across 14 U.S. markets.
