Canada Marijuana Sales Reach CA$503.2 Million in July, 2026 Year-to-Date Total Hits CA$3.40 Billion

Canadian marijuana retailers generated CA$503.238 million in sales in July, bringing the country’s 2026 year-to-date total to nearly CA$3.40 billion, according to new data from Statistics Canada.

Sales during the first seven months of 2026 totaled CA$3.398 billion, up 5.9% from CA$3.208 billion during the same period in 2025.

July sales were 2.3% higher than the CA$491.803 million reported in July 2025, although they declined 2.5% from CA$516.398 million in June.

Canada’s monthly marijuana sales for 2026 were:

  • January: CA$478.239 million
  • February: CA$439.053 million
  • March: CA$459.984 million
  • April: CA$490.789 million
  • May: CA$510.367 million
  • June: CA$516.398 million
  • July: CA$503.238 million

Ontario remained the country’s largest provincial marijuana market in July, with CA$181.461 million in sales. British Columbia followed at CA$85.514 million, narrowly ahead of Alberta at CA$84.797 million. Quebec retailers reported CA$67.339 million.

Nova Scotia recorded CA$14.105 million in July sales, while Newfoundland and Labrador reached CA$10.675 million and New Brunswick posted CA$9.729 million. Manitoba reported CA$22.368 million and Saskatchewan CA$21.335 million.

Compared with July 2025, British Columbia saw sales rise from CA$73.030 million to CA$85.514 million, an increase of about 17%. Nova Scotia also posted an increase of roughly 17%, rising from CA$12.045 million to CA$14.105 million.

Ontario, meanwhile, declined from CA$188.984 million in July 2025 to CA$181.461 million this year. Quebec fell from CA$69.146 million to CA$67.339 million.

The Statistics Canada figures cover retail sales from licensed cannabis retailers and are reported on an unadjusted basis.
