Florida medical marijuana patients have purchased nearly 16 billion milligrams of THC and more than 5.47 million ounces of smokable marijuana so far in 2026, according to the newest weekly report from the Florida Department of Health’s Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU).
During the week of September 4 through September 10, licensed medical marijuana treatment centers dispensed 433,829,748 milligrams of THC and 151,177.713 ounces of marijuana in a form for smoking. Dispensations remained at a similar level during the following week. From September 11 through September 17, treatment centers dispensed another 415,816,981 milligrams of THC and 148,635.187 ounces of smokable marijuana.
Adding the two newest reports to previously reported totals brings Florida’s 2026 year-to-date dispensations to 15,944,574,218 milligrams of THC and 5,470,731.460 ounces of smokable marijuana.
The state’s medical marijuana patient population currently stands at 941,650 qualified patients with active identification cards, according to the September 18 report. That is up 379 from the 941,271 patients reported one week earlier.
The latest total is also 141 higher than the 941,509 active patients reported on September 4. The patient count briefly declined between the September 4 and September 11 reports before returning to a new high in the latest update.
Trulieve remained by far Florida’s largest medical marijuana operator during the September 11 through September 17 reporting period, dispensing 108,350,762 milligrams of THC and 50,938.329 ounces of smokable marijuana across 170 locations. MÜV followed with 49,104,214 milligrams of THC and 16,584.208 ounces, while Curaleaf dispensed 46,879,811 milligrams of THC and 16,397.821 ounces.
Florida also added two dispensing locations during the latest week, with the Department of Health approving a Curaleaf location in Port Richey and a GTI Florida location in Cape Coral. The state now has 781 dispensing locations, up from 779 in the previous report.
Florida voters legalized medical marijuana through a constitutional amendment approved in 2016. The state operates one of the largest medical marijuana programs in the country, with licensed treatment centers authorized to cultivate, process and dispense marijuana to qualified patients.
