October brought some shakeups in the marijuana market, with a handful of strains keeping their grip as one of the top-selling strains, and others slipping as buyers shifted to new options (or found their way back to old favorites).

Using data compiled by state regulatory agencies and cannabis commissions, and when needed data from the Seattle-based research firm Headset, below is a list of the top-selling strain in ever legal state as of October 2025. As with past months, Virginia is not included as they remain the only legal cannabis state without licensed sales, and Minnesota is not included because their adult-use market has yet to launch.
