Alaska Legislature Sends Industrial Hemp Reform Bill to Governor
The Alaska Legislature has sent a bill to Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy that would revise the state’s industrial hemp program, including testing, transportation, enforcement and licensing requirements. Senate Bill 208 would create a micro-grower category, eliminate certain transportation requirements and allow some hemp testing above the federal THC limit to be remediated or converted to nonintoxicating uses.
CBD May Reduce Intestinal and Liver Damage in Acute Mesenteric Ischemia, Study Finds
Administering CBD shortly before blood flow was restored to the intestines reduced tissue damage and helped protect the liver in a rat model of acute mesenteric ischemia. Florida medical marijuana treatment centers have dispensed more than 12.5 billion milligrams of THC and 4.27 million ounces of smokable marijuana in 2026, while the registered patient count has risen to 938,435. San Francisco Mayor Signs Ordinance Legalizing Cannabis Cafés

Massachusetts Legal Marijuana Sales Surpass $1 Billion in 2026
